Parade of Homes produces Some Great Design
This past week I had the chance (and the time) to visit a couple $1 Million+ new construction homes that are in the local Parade. If you get a chance, check out the Woods at Riley Creek in Eden Prairie. They have three great models from different builders.
Make sure not to miss Parade Home #673 by Swanson Homes. The walk out rambler in itself is a nice change from the ever common two story walkouts all over the Twin Cities. Once you step inside you will soon realize you are no longer in Kansas. While many builders are going for the Arts and Craft look, this home is pure 1960-1970s to me, but looks like the Jettsons live here according to my husband. The design is streamlined and clean, but has some great architectural use of glass, stone, and colors. You will definitely have to be a organized person to own the home.
The home is priced for sale at $1,990,000, has 5565 finished square feet, four bedrooms, and five bathrooms. The master suite is on the main floor and has one of the most unique bathrooms I have seen. All I can say is “I want that tub”. Also, while one I haven’t seen before, the concept of having a mini washer and dryer in the master closet is fantastic and better than having to walk to the basement.
Oh, and please try to be open minded when you enter…be forewarned, this is not a home for everyone. Urban chic pops into my head as well.
